Hey there, I'm Will!

Hi! I’m Will, a game developer from Ohio. I started building games on Roblox when I was 9 years old, dreaming of releasing a game that was featured among the most popular on the front page of the platform. My passion for creating these experiences and seeing players having fun in worlds I created sparked my interest in programming, eventually leading me to graduate from The Ohio State University with a 3.8 GPA and a degree in Computer Science and Engineering.

Beyond just programming in college, I was also a member of TBDBITL. This is me performing at the Rose Bowl.

During school I completed three summer internships, exploring various specialties in programming. While I gained valuable experience and worked alongside amazing peers and mentors, I found that my passion lied in creating games and watching players enjoy them. This realization ultimately led me to turn down a return offer from my final internship and take a gap year after graduation to focus on bringing my passion project, MODERN MEDICINE, to life as a commercial release.

Now that the dust has settled, MODERN MEDICINE stands as a successful title with over 1,000,000 play sessions to its name. Developing the game honed my skills in AI design, procedural generation, multiplayer systems, sound design, backend architecture, and many other areas as the sole programmer. The project also showcases my leadership abilities. I formed and managed a team of myself, a level designer, and an artist, kept us organized and progressing with steady momentum, resolved creative and technical differences, and ultimately delivered a polished commercial product. My ultimate goal as a developer is to help players create memories and friendships through my work, and MODERN MEDICINE is just one of many steps I plan to take to achieve that.
